There are always too many problems including WiFi trouble after upgrading to newer version of iOS (iOS 9.0.2 is currently the newest). It is not weird when you face any issues with wifi connecting in iPhone. My iPhone 6 sometimes can not catchup and recognize the Wifi signal or join Wifi network even with correct Wifi password. I suppose the main reason is related to the particular WiFi Router and it’s setting.
No worries, just follow my tips below, you solve your iPhone Wifi problems no matter iOS 8.x or iOS 9.0.x using. We will start with quickest and simplest solution and end with the most complicated one.
1. Forget this Network
This solution is only for the case if your iPhone can not join and connect to an available Wi-Fi network name even right password was provided. You forget the Network, and then search and reconnect again. Otherwise, take the solution 2.
You forget the Open the Settings app and tab “Wi-Fi” settings > Look at targeted the wi-fi router / network name that you get failed to join > tap on the (i) info button > Tab Forget this Network > tab Forget to confirm.
2. Turn Off Wi-Fi Networking Services
Be noticed that this dose not Disable your Wi-Fi app. That turn off and disable Wifi Networking Service in iOS really works on many users: go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services.
Whatever problem and issue with your Wi-Fi, check again. If the circumstance still remains the same, go to the solution 3.
3. Reset iOS 8.x and iOS 9.0.2 Networking Settings
Why? The reason is very clear; That reset Networking settings dumps all settings, caches, DHCP info, and any other settings or custom data that has been set on the iPhone 6. To reset network settings in iOS, go to Settings > General > Reset >tap on Reset Network Settings.
Still get stuck? Go to the solution 4.
4. Customize your iPhone DNS
To change your iPhone 6, iPhone 6 plus DNS server in iOS 8 and iOS 9, Open the Settings app and tab “Wi-Fi” settings > Look at targeted the wi-fi router / network name that you get failed to join > tap on the (i) info button.
You now can scroll down until you see the DNS section, and tap on the numbers to the right. We suggest 2 DNS services you should use:
a – Google DNS: To use Google’s DNS, use any of these addresses in the DNS field: 126.96.36.199, 188.8.131.52
b – OpenDNS: You can enter either of these addresses to use OpenDNS: 184.108.40.206, 220.127.116.11.
Variety of problems should be solved now. You are not a lucky one, take the solution 5.
